STRUCTURE FIRE
PITCAIRN BORO

This afternoon around 14:30 Truck 4 was alerted to respond for the residential structure fire in Pitcairn. T4 arrived immediately after Engine 230 with heavy fire showing from the third floor and went to work. The crews were split and the interior crew went to the fire floor to complete a search and open up for the engine company. The second crew placed several ladders and performed OVM duties on the second floor then remained inside to pull ceilings and walls looking for hidden fire. Crews also prepared to vertically vent via ground ladders as overhead obstructions kept the aerial bedded. The fire kept crews busy as it spread through the third floor via void spaces in the walls, ceilings and floor.
Crews remained on scene for approximately 3 hours. The County Fire Marshals are investigating.
