Early this AM, Monroeville Fire Companies responded for, what was initially dispatched as, and Automatic Fire Alarm. C-13 (A/C Lieb) arrived first and found smoke showing from the 3-story apartment building. Crews immediately went to work to find the source. After finding it comming from one of the apartments,crews forced entry and make a quick knock on a small fire inside the apt. while crews conducted a search finding one victim who sucummbed to the fire. Ventilation was accomplished on the roof with vent holes cut and the fire was contained in minutes. Great job to all involved. Scene is still under investigation by the Allegheny County Fire Marshall and Monroeville Police.
