Just after 12:30pm Co. 4 was alerted to the 59.5 mile marker Eastbound on the PA Turnpike for an MVC with entrapment.  First arriving units found a full-size SUV off of the roadway, lying on its’ drivers side.  M48 crew quickly determined that the driver and only occupant of the vehicle was fatally injured during the crash.  R4 crew stabilized the vehicle.  The Westmoreland County Coroner’s office was notified by the PSP.  Once the Coroner arrived and began his investigation, Magill’s Towing assisted by pulling the vehicle back onto its’ wheels.  The victim was then removed from the vehicle and turned over to the Coroner.  Crews were out for nearly 2 hours.
