Just after 01:00am Co. 4 was alerted to assist Harrison City Sta. 87 and Penn Twp. EMS with and MVC with entrapment at the 60 mile marker in the East and Westbound lanes.  The crash involved multiple tractor trailers and passenger vehicles.  A tractor trailer traveling Eastbound crashed through several median/jersey barriers coming to rest on its’ driver side in the Westbound lanes.  One victim was entrapped in a passenger vehicle in the Eastbound lanes.  Crews from Sta. 87 extricated and turned the victim over to Penn Twp. EMS for transport to a Level I Trauma Center.  Co. 4 crews assisted with assessing for additional injuries and controlling fluids from the overturned tractor trailer.  Amazingly, no other injuries found at the scene.   All 4 lanes of the Turnpike were shut down as per PSP.  Once the scene was stabilized, M48, 4C & R4 cleared, leaving E42 at the scene for traffic control and lighting for the Eastbound lanes.  Crews were out until about 05:30am.
