HAZMAT INCIDENT
MCGINLEY ROAD

Around 0800 this morning, crews were summoned to a local nursing facility for a possible hazardous materials incident. Upon arrival of E41 crews were met by a maintenance worker that stated an excess of Chlorine pellets were dumped into a pool's filtering system. Normally, Bromide is used and the worker was unaware he was using the wrong material. E41 crew removed the canaster from the pool area while E51 used PPV fans to ventilate the pool area which is a seperate therapy area located off the main building. A crew from Air 1 was used to meter the adjacent area and monitor air quality. M48 transported one maintenance worker to the hospital for further evaluation. Units cleared within the hour.
