Companies 5,4,6 and Command 32 were dispatched this evening for a reported structure fire at a vacant Italian Grocery on Route 286. Engine 42 arrived first to find fire showing from a side two loading dock door. Engine 42 established a water supply from across the highway and proceeded into the scene. Engine 51 arrived at the corner of side 1/2, Truck 4 placed on side 4, Truck 5 placed on side 1/2 as well. Crews from Engine 42 and Engine 51 pulled 2 handlines to the structure for fire attack and back-up. Crews entered into side one and made their way to the rear of the building where the investigation found that there was no fire inside the building, only fire external at this time. Crews extinguished the fire and no further extension was found MPD Detectives were called to investigate.
