Today several stand by crews were requested to cover Penn Hills Fire Department as they paid their respects to slain Penn Hills Police office Michael Crawshaw. So from 0600 to 1400 fill Companies that included Monroeville Truck 4, Medic 49 and Rescue 6 were sent to assist. While on stand by Rescue 6 and Medic 49 responded to 2 vehicle collisions and then later Truck 4, Rescue 6 and Engine 142 (Blaine Hill) ran a reported commercial structure fire. All fill Companies were happy to assist our brothers and sisters of Penn Hills Fire Department and our deepest condolences to Officer Crawshaw's family, friends and coworkers.

While Truck 4 and Medic 49 were standing by in Penn Hills Engine 41 was sent to fill for Engine 303 in Wilkins Township as they attended the funeral for one of there longtime members. E41 stood by from 0830 to 1330 so Wilkins members could pay their final respects. E41 did not take in any runs while on stand by and was honored to assist our brothers and sisters of Wilkins FD. Monroeville Fire Department extends its deepest sympathies to Firefighter Wagner's family and friends.

Meanwhile, Station 4 remained staffed with an additional Engine crew as well as a Medic crew. A HUGE thank you to all members involved.
